The Detonations, Deserts, and Drives Update


Boy do have we got an update this week!

In this update, you were promised bug fixes and POIs, and oh baby did we deliver. Introducing some major items off the bat- new vehicles, golf carts, but much more importantly, a solid ( and light weight) framework for creating new vehicles along with an interesting sub-system, teleportation (expect to see more on that next week). These soft-suspensioned, knobby-tired, boxy bundles of horsepower will get you from point a to point b in our new golf course along with dispensing unlimited clubs! Expanding upon the framework laid out in the mechanics demo, we now have a fully operating golf course! While this is simply a set piece for the quests to expand on, nothing's stopping you from getting a few holes in! You'll never guess the ninth hole!

The two other big adds are bigger in scale, but we don't want to give away too much... Lets just say, your ship may be setting off a certain megalithic vehicle's radar. You may need to take a swim. And secondly, word is, a so-far unnamed organization may have recently set up a quarantine zone in the desert. I would be armed if I was you...

What you should do is take a little trip to hang out with the entire island of bunnies and one person who is really excited to be alive. At least while you still can. You can find her and her gaggle of rabbits just past the oil derricks, right in front of the big spooky ass obsidian towers.

In more technical news, after many months the sudden and violent slingshotting of our quote "4'9" stack of solid T&A", we have finally corrected our physics bugs in the character controller, no more sliding, no more being launched several kilometers into the ocean! We've also smoothed many of the costumes and corrected a plethora of clerical, performance and physics errors thanks to our awesome community over on Discord!
